Estate Disputes and Will Contests
As an experienced litigation firm, we are well-prepared to handle any disputed probate, will contest, or estate dispute, both in negotiations for an amicable settlement and at trial.
Washington’s Trust and Estate Dispute Resolution Act (TEDRA) controls the resolution of disputes, controversies and complications which may arise in the administration of trusts and settlement of estates. It offers tools for alternative means of resolving disputes, such as mediation or arbitration, and is intended to provide a timely and comprehensive method of resolving disputes which may arise among heirs or with the actions of a trustee or personal representative in handling an estate. Where disputes have arisen, we work with clients to find the best means under TEDRA for protecting our clients’ interest and obtaining a favorable resolution of the issues.
